What is MixStreet.Net?
MixStreet.Net is a new music community designed to give DJ's and Mixologists a place
to showcase their mixing talent to the world. The idea is to create a large online
community http://bettingsiteonline.co.tz/1xbet-tanzania of fans and DJ's alike where music and ideas can be exchanged freely.
We do this by providing a competitve environment using a chart system that tracks
each DJ's progress by the number of song plays they receive daily. We also help
each artist establish a presence on the web without having to design an expensive
website. Fans also get a place to carve out their niche by giving them a profile
page where they can post blogs, pictures, and show their favorite artists and
songs to everyone else.
Does it cost anything to become a member?
Not at all. Becoming a member is free and painless. Visit our signup page
to begin setting up your profile. Follow the instructions and you should be up in no time.

Why do I have to register to listen to songs?
We allow anonymous visitors to listen to songs up to 3 times without registering. After 3 plays,
we require them to register so that we track who plays what songs for reporting purposes.

Why can't I log into the forum?
The MixStreet.Net forums require a separate login than the main site. We have not yet integrated
the forums with the main site's membership database, so you must sign up there separately.
Profile and Account Questions
How do I create a profile?
When you signup for MixStreet.Net, you are basically creating an online profile automatically. Complete
the signup form and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address
you provide. Once you receive that email, click on the link in the email to activate your account. Once
your account is activated, you can login to the site and manage your profile. Click on the
"Members → My Account" menu at the top of the page to go to your "My Account" page where
you can edit your profile and manage all parts of your MixStreet.Net account https://www.bettingsiteonline.co.tz/1xbet-tanzania.
How do I update my profile picture?
Click on the "Members → My Account" menu at the top to go to your "My Account" page. At
the top right, click on the "Edit My Profile" link.
How do I add songs to my playlist?
When you find a song that you want to add to your playlist, click on the "Add To Playlist" link
below the song title on any artist or song page on the site. You cannot *Upload* songs to your
playlist since the song must already hosted on MixStreet.Net by an artist. Here is an example:
How do I add artists to my favorites?
When you find an artist that you want to add to your favorites, click on the "Add To Favorites"
link at the left side of any artist's page below their picture and name. Here is an example:
How do I add members to my friends list?
When you find a member that you want to add to your friends list, click on the "Add To Friends List"
link at the left side of their profile page below their picture and name. The other member must approve
your request, at which time you will be notified by email. Once approved, they will appear in your
friends list, as well as you on theirs. Here is an example:
How do I add photos to my photo gallery?
Click on the "Members → My Account" menu at the top to go to your "My Account" page. On
the right side control panel, click on the "Manage Photos" link. From this page, click the
"Upload a Photo" link to begin.
How do I post a blog?
Click on the "Members → My Account" menu at the top to go to your "My Account" page. On
the right side control panel, click on the "Manage Blogs" link. From this page, click the
"Post a New Blog Entry" link to get started.
What is a blog?
A blog, or "Web Log" is an online journal. The idea is for you to post notes or comments about
what is going on in your daily life for others to read. Is just like having a diary that you
want everyone else to be able to read.
How do I delete my account/profile?
Click on the "Members → My Account" menu at the top to go to your "My Account" page. On
the right side control panel, click on the "Delete Account" link. Be forewarned though - this
will delete your entire MixStreet.Net account, and is permanent. Your profile page, artist accounts,
banners, blogs, pictures, anything you have associated with your account will be deleted as well.
Artist Questions
How do I create an artist account?
First, you must register an MixStreet.Net profile (account) to host your Artist account in. Artist
accounts are "owned" by a profile which allows members to host one or more artists under one
account. See the How do I create a profile? question on how to get started.
If you are already registered and have activated your account, click on either the
"Members → Register an Artist" or "Artists → Register an Artist" menus at the top.
This will take you to the signup process for artists. Be sure to have all of your information ready
(bio, name, picture, etc...) before starting. The more information you post in your artist account,
the faster it will be approved. If you post nothing but your name, your account may be rejected by
the administrator.
Be aware that you cannot create artist accounts for popular signed artists
that you do not have explicit permission from. You must BE the artist or have their permission to
create an account for them.
Does it cost anything to create an artist account?
No. We offer a free account to artists that allows you to host up to 3 songs. We do offer premium
artist accounts if you require more songs and pictures and/or want higher visibility for your artist.

How many artist accounts can I have?
At this time there is no limit to how many artist accounts you can host under one profile. There is one
catch though: you cannot have more than one artist account for the SAME artist. We do not allow
more than one for the same artist just so that artist can host more songs or pictures without
upgrading to a premium artist account.
What types of artist memberships do you offer?
We offer a basic free account, and three levels of premium accounts to choose from. You can choose which
type of account suits your needs or fits your budget.

What forms of payment do you accept?
For premium artist accounts we accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex,
Diners Club, Etc...) for billing. We don't currently accept PayPal
but plan to later this year. In special cases we do accept cashiers checks or money orders, but we require
that you pay for an entire year. Contact us if you need to pay like this.
How long does it take for my artist account to be approved?
Typically it takes between 48 and 72 hours to review new artists, and in rare cases it can take longer. We
get hundreds of new artists per day and sometimes higher volume of new signups will delay approvals. Please
be patient though, we will get to everyone. If you have been waiting WAY too long, please
contact us and let us know.
Can I put custom HTML on my artist page?
Yes. On your artist's home page we do have a place for custom HTML to be insered. We do allow styles of the
page to be changed if you can figure out our huge style sheet, but we do not allow frames or scripting. To
add HTML to your page, click on the "Edit Page Settings" link on your artist administration page.
How do I update my artist picture?
Go to your artist administration page by clicking the "Manage Artist" link for your artist on your "My Account"
page. Click on the "Edit Page Settings" link and there is a field to upload a picture.
How do I add news articles to my artist page?
Go to your artist administration page by clicking the "Manage Artist" link for your artist on your "My Account"
page. Click on the "Edit News" link on the right to go to the news page. Click on the "Add a News Article"
link to add a new news article.
How do I add events to my artist calendar?
Go to your artist administration page by clicking the "Manage Artist" link for your artist on your "My Account"
page. Click on the "Edit Calendar" link on the right to go to the artist calendar page. Click on the "Add an Event"
link to add a new event to your artist's calendar.
How do I add reviews to my artist page?
Go to your artist administration page by clicking the "Manage Artist" link for your artist on your "My Account"
page. Click on the "Edit Reviews" link on the right to go to the reviews page. There are two sections to this page,
the "Artist Reviews" section, and the "Fan Reviews" section. You can only add artist reviews to your page.
Click on the "Add a Review" link to post a new review to your artist page.
How do I add photos to my artist page?
Go to your artist administration page by clicking the "Manage Artist" link for your artist on your "My Account"
page. Click on the "Edit Photos" link on the right to go to the photo gallery page. Click on the "Upload a Photo"
link to add a new photo to your artist page.
How do I hide unwanted fans on my artist page?
Go to your artist administration page by clicking the "Manage Artist" link for your artist on your "My Account"
page. Click on the "Edit Fans" link on the right to go to the fan management page. Find the fan (or fans)
that you don't want visible on your page and uncheck the "Show on Page" checkbox. Then click on the
"Update" button to save the changes.
How are artists ranked?
Artists are ranked based on the number of "Unique" plays and visitors they receive over a 24 hour period.
For example, the rankings shown today are from yesterday's activity only (previous rankings for each artists do not
affect their rank today). What we mean by "Unique" plays and visits is: when someone visits an artist's page,
it is only counted ONCE per day. When someone plays a song, it is only counted once per day also. Song plays
and page visits by the owner of the artist account are NOT counted at all. We do this prevent artists from
manipulating the ranking system for their own gain. We tally up all the unique plays and visits each day
and come up with a rank for every artist on the site, and that is what is shown on the top artists page as well
as each artist's activity reports.
How are artist and song stats compiled?
Every time someone visits an artist's page or plays a song from them, that activity is tracked. We use this
information to compile charts and artist rankings, as well as provide statistical information to each
artist about their activity.
How do you track song plays and page views?
We only track "Unique" song plays and page visits for all artists. What we mean by "Unique" is: when someone
visits an artist's page, it is only counted ONCE per day. When someone plays a song, it is only counted once
per day also. Song plays and page visits by the owner of the artist account are NOT counted at all. We do this
prevent artists from manipulating the ranking system for their own gain.
Do fan reviews affect my artist's rank?
No. Fan reviews are merely informational and have no bearing on song or artist ranks whatsoever. "Why" you ask?
Simple. For the most part reviews are subjective and are often abused to either help or hurt artists. For
this reason we do not allow reviews to affect ranking since it is rarely a fair judgement of the quality
of their music. On the other hand, we do want artists to get feedback from their fans, so we employ a basic
reviews system to provide this interaction.
How can I become a featured artist?
To become a featured artist, you must first be a premium artist to qualify. Featured artist are picked
by MixStreet.Net administrators and cannot be "bought". If your music is of good quality and appeals to
alot of people, you have a very high chance of being picked in one of our 366 genres on the site.
If you are looking for more exposure, we offer "promo artist ads" that can be purchased to increase an
artist's visibility on the site. Please read the What are promo artists, and how can I
become one? question for more information.
How are featured artists picked?
Featured artists are automatically chosen from our premium artists every two weeks based
on the highest average chart position in a genre over last 30 days. An artist can
be picked for more than one genre if they have a song with the highest average in
those genres. The same artist CANNOT be picked twice for the same genre
within the same year. We do however pick some artists ourselves, when they
catch our attention and please our ear.
As our service grows we will be able to have a more active role in picking who gets
featured, but for now its all about how well your songs do in the charts. So our
advice to all premium artists is: If you want to be featured, try to get as many
people as possible to listen to your songs.
What are promo artists, and how can I become one?
Promo Ad Spots are listings of artists shown on various high traffic pages on the website.
These spots can be purchased by any artists at almost any time. The way this works is pretty simple:
- Promo ads are purchased in one week blocks.
- Up to 50 artists can purchase spots at any given time.
- Only 10 artists are shown in promo locations on each page view. What
this means is that artists are rotated on each page view to give an equal number of views each. As an
example, if all 50 spots are filled, every artist is shown on 1 out of each 5 page views. The less promo
spots that are filled, the more times you will be shown.
- Artists are shown in random order on each page load.

Promo artists are shown on the home and genre pages, but will be expanded to other
areas of the site in the future. To see an example of current promo spots,
click here.
To signup for a promo ad spot, go to your artist administration page and click on
"Purchase a Promo Spot" and follow the directions.
How much does it cost do you ask? Pricing varies depending on site traffic and other
factors. Check the "Purchase a Promo Spot" page for current pricing.
Can an artist be in more than one genre?
At this time, No. An artist is "categorized" under one genre, but their songs can be on different
genres. This way even though an artist in one genre, their songs will appear in whatever genre chart
their song is in. This gives the *appearance* that the artist is in one or more genres.
Can more than one person manage my artist account?
At this time, we do not have a way to have multiple owners of an artist account. We do have plans
to add this feature in the near future.
Can I transfer my artist account to a different owner?
At this time, we don't have an artist transfer mechanism. We do plan to implement this feature
in the near future though.
Can I sell my merchandise via my artist page?
We are currently working on a full artist storefront as part of each artist's mini-site.
Artists will be able to sell any kind of merchandise and MixStreet.Net will handle
charging the buyer. The artist will be responsible for shipping the merchandise, and will
be paid monthly via a Paypal account. Check back regularly for
updates on this exciting new feature.
Why can't I download any songs?
Songs can only be streamed due to copyright laws at this time. Since each song is a "mix" of
music from other artists, allowing these songs to be copied via mp3 files is not allowed
so that this site can stay in operation and not get sued by the RIAA. For more information
about current copyright laws, visit the RIAA or
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
How do I delete my artist account?
Click on the "Members → My Account" menu at the top to go to your "My Account" page. Using the
navigation at the right, click on the "Manage Artists" link to view your artist accounts. Next to
the artist you want to remove, click the "Delete" link.
!! Be forewarned that deleting your artist account is permanent. Once its gone, it can only be recovered
for a short amount of time afterwards. Be sure that you want to remove this artist account before deleting it.!!
Song Questions
How do I upload songs?
First, you must register an artist account to host your songs in. How do I create
an artist account? question to get started. Once you have your artist account setup, go to your
artist administration page by clicking the "Manage Artist" link for your artist on your "My Account"
page. Click on the either the "Upload a New Song" link on the left, or click on "Edit Songs" to go
to the song administration page. Follow the steps to register and upload the song.
How many songs can I host in my artist account?
Our free artist account allows you to host 3 songs. Please see the What types of
artist memberships do you offer? question for details on song limits for premium artists.
Can I link directly to my songs from other websites?
Deep linking, or linking directly to a song hosted on MixStreet.Net from another website, is ONLY
allowed for premium artists. For free artists, songs can be streamed or downloaded directly from
their artist page or song page. It is recommended that artists link to their MixStreet.Net page so
that they get credit for the traffic.
MixStreet.Net does not host songs for free artists to be hosted on other sites such as Xanga and Myspace.
Can I upload songs I didn't write and record?
Yes. MixStreet.Net was designed for "mixes" specifically. You can upload songs that you mixed yourself
using music from other artists music. The only thing we ask is that you give all other artists
credit for their parts in your mixes in the song details section.
What file formats do you allow for songs to upload?
We only accept songs in MP3 format at 192kb encoding or higher. Anything lower results in loss
of quality once the song is re-encoded for streaming.
Is there a size limit for song files?
Yes. MP3 files cannot exceed 15mb in size. If you attempt to upload a song file that is larger than
this, you will get a "server not found" error while uploading.
I get a "Server Not Found" error when uploading a song.
This occurs when the upload is interrupted because the file you are uploading exceeds 15mb in size.
Anything that is uploaded (MP3, photos, etc..) cannot exceed this file size limit or they will be
cutoff during upload.
Are cover songs allowed?
Yes. We allow cover songs as long as they were recorded by YOUR artist, and you give credit to the
original artist in the credits for the song.
Can an song be in more than one genre?
At this time, No. Currently the song system only allows a song to be classified under one genre.
How are song charts calculated?
Songs are ranked based on the number of "Unique" plays they receive over a 24 hour period. For example,
the song charts shown today are from yesterday's plays only (previous chart rank for each song do not
affect their chart position today). What we mean by "Unique" plays is when plays a song, it is only
counted once per day for that person. Song plays by the owner of the artist account are NOT counted at
all. We do this prevent artists from manipulating the charts system for their own gain. We tally up
all the unique plays each day and come up with the top 200 songs for every genre, and that is what is
shown on the song charts page as well as each artist's activity reports.
Why is my song still pending?
Songs usually are processed within a few minutes of uploading, but sometimes high upload volume can
cause the song to take a short while to process. If your song is taking WAY too long to process,
please contact us.
